Welcome to Mr. Yesaki’s class website. I look forward to teaching and working with all of my students and families in the coming months. This is my 24th year teaching full-time at Garden City School and it is my 22nd year teaching grade 6/7. This is now my 31st year as an educator. I’ve had previous jobs as acting Vice-Principal at Garden City, as Resource teacher at Blundell School, as an English teacher at JN Burnett high school, and as a private tutor of various students in Richmond.

I have taught and coached thousands of students from many different countries and I am confident that I can help any child given a willingness from the child and family to put forth an honest effort along with a positive attitude each day. I have very high expectations for my students in terms of their behaviour, responsibility, and attitude. I expect their best, but I never ask my students to do anything that I wouldn’t do myself. Together we will push each other to be our best.

We are only limited by our imagination, and I enjoy conducting school activities in and outside of Garden City. There are many experiences that will benefit the kids in their learning and understanding that the world is truly one big classroom. We’ll work hard, but we’ll also do our best to enjoy our adventure together each day.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns about your child: syesaki@sd38.bc.ca I take my job as educator very seriously, and I will address any and all issues as they arise. Educating a child is a complex process, and I would like to help in any way that I can. All the best to each of you for a fantastic year ahead.
